What is VICPP?

VICPP is a premiere interfaith agency with a national reputation for successful advocacy in issues of racial, social, and economic justice. Working with others, VICPP's legislative successes in Virginia include the abolition of the death penalty and Medicaid expansion.

 

Current work has focused on limiting solitary confinement, expanding paid sick days, and requiring implicit bias training for health care professionals. VICPP Is non-partisan and works "across the aisle" as it seeks to make Virginia more equitable and just for all people.  

 

Who is Kim Bobo? 

Kim Bobo, VICPP's executive director, is a nationally known promoter of social justice. She literally wrote the book on faith-based organizing. Justice Advocates is honored to host her for this discussion and grateful for the gift of her valuable time. 

 

What is Day for All People? 

VICPP hosts an annual Day for All People where persons from across the state learn about the legislative agenda and meet with their Delegate and State Senator. Members of the Justice Advocates planning team will be making the trip to Richmond on January 18, 2023. You will hear more about the "Day" during this Zoom session. We hope you can make plans to join us!
